It has been two years since we first announced our little experiment to our closest friends and family, and when we officially launched Denton Moto Collective. We had an amazing group of volunteers who helped us throw one hell of a party. David and Jennifer Morales were gracious enough to host at their incredible home, Claire Morales and Daniel Markham provided live entertainment and Robin Major (and friends) provided some delicious food for all of our guests.
It had been six months since David (@davmomoto) and I had met each other on the side of the road. The net result of that deal put a 1966 Honda CB160 Racer in David's garage and put a custom 1975 Honda CB500T in mine, a.k.a. "Morrison". And yes, THAT Morrison, as in the Corn Kits. I chose the name as a mea culpa for my ignorant mockery of Denton when I first drove through back in 1993. I said to myself back then, "What kind of podunk country town is this, that has a couple of universities but also a grain silo right in the middle of town?!" My answer today: One that I love ever so much and one that I proudly call "home".
We were incredibly encouraged that so many friends and family turned out. Having you all there to share the start of our moto journey was an absolute honor and a memory that we will cherish forever. We have seen your faces throughout the past two years and your continued support helps drive us. We cannot thank you enough.
Thanks to our friend, Brad Koehn, for capturing our announcement and reveal:
